FAQs about our Bid Day Package Process
When is Bid Day? Bid Day at SMU is Saturday, August 22! Kappa Alpha Theta will hold their recruitment several weeks after the August 22 event, so their Bid Day will be a later in the fall.
Why should I pre-order Bid Day gifts? Pre-orders are given priority for fulfillment, as well as delivery. Orders will be filled and deliveries made based on the date the order was placed.
How do I pre-order? From our Greek Boutique website page, select the items you want to purchase. If ordering for more than one girl, please do a separate order for each individual. Rather than choosing a specific sorority (unknown at this time), choose “Recruitment 2026”. Then proceed through the checkout process, giving us your daughter’s information and a message for the enclosure card. All Bid Day packages will be delivered to sorority houses, so we do not need a delivery address.
What if my daughter decides to participate in Kappa Alpha Theta recruitment, rather than the initial recruitment week? We will hold her order and deliver her package on Kappa Alpha Theta’s Bid Day. Please let us know this information as soon as you are aware.
How do I let you know which Sorority she joined?
As soon as your sorority girl gets her bid on Saturday, August 22, we need to hear from you! Please notify us via text at (214) 826-1580 with the following information:
· Name of who placed the order
· The recipient's name
· Full name of the sorority
We cannot fill your order without hearing from you.
How do deliveries work? Bids will be announced Saturday, August 22. We will deliver pre-ordered Bid Day packages and gifts to the sorority houses on Sunday, August 23. We will notify each girl via text when her gift is delivered, so she can go pick it up at her convenience. If your daughter is participating in recruitment for Kappa Alpha Theta, her package will be delivered on their designated Bid Day.
Can I pick up my daughter’s gifts myself? Yes, you may pick up your order from us if you are in town. We are located very close to campus. Please let us know you would like to pick up the order, and we will text you when it’s ready and give you the address.
What if my daughter doesn’t get a bid? If you have pre-ordered, we are happy to offer a full refund, no questions asked.
What is a Rush Week Happy? A Rush Week Happy is a floral arrangement delivered during Rush Week to tell your girl “Good Luck!”
